ADSPEAK 2016: Values Over Time - COMPETITION RULES

CATEGORIES

Any student delegate of ADSPEAK 2016 may submit an entry to the student competition.

 

An entry is a qualified public service advertisement (PSA) that will be judged in two (2) competitive divisions:

    A. Values Advertising Awards: These PSAs will be scored by a selected panel of judges coming from the advertising industry.

    B. Student Choice Awards: These PSAs will be judged by selected students per school coming from various colleges and universities.

 

Each entry, except for Category F, automatically gets the chance to compete in both divisions.

 

Entries may be entered in the following categories:

    A. Best in Print

    B. Best in Radio

    C. Best in TV

    D. Best Campaign

    E. Best Digital

    F. Best in Branded Communications

 

*Must comprise of at least three (3) individual pieces in a Single Medium Campaign (Print or Radio or Television) or Multi-media Campaign (a combination of Print/Radio/TV ads).  Ads entered as a campaign can no longer compete individually.

 

ELIGIBILITY

To qualify, an entry should reflect any of these seven (7) positive values:

 

   A. Love of God and respect for religious beliefs.

   B. Commitment to truth, honesty and justice.

   C. Love of country and respect for national customs and traditions.

   D. Reverence for family unity and the inviolability of marriage.

   E. Respect and care for human life and the dignity and the rights of all.

   F. Respect for law and authority and the promotion of self-discipline.

   G. Concern for and preservation of the environment.

 

An entry must be submitted by an individual or a group with a maximum of five (5) members.

PSA SPECIFICATIONS

A. Print Category

   - Entry must be in a clean compre form and digitally printed.

   - Print size must be on A3 size paper.

   - The print PSA must be mounted on a ¼  illustration board.

   - Entry must be accompanied by an entry form*

   - Entries must be provided with a soft copy, jpeg format, on a standard CD. 

   - There should only be one entry per CD.        

   -The CD cover must contain a thumbnail of the Print PSA as well as the Student/Group  

     Name, Ad Title, Category and School.

 

B. Radio Category

   - Length must be a minimum of 30 seconds and a maximum of 60 seconds.

   - Radio must be in mp3 format.

   - Entry must be contained in two (2) CDs with only one entry per CD. 

   - Entry must be accompanied by an entry form*

   -The CD cover must be clearly identified with the Student/Group Name, Ad Title, 

    Category, Ad Length and School.

          

C. TV Category

   - Length must be a minimum of 30 seconds and a maximum of 60 seconds.

   - TVC must be in mp4 format.

   - mp4 files must be contained in two (2) CDs with only one entry per CD.

   - Entry must be accompanied by an entry form*

   - The CD cover must be clearly identified with the Student/Group Name, Ad Title, Category, 

     Ad Length and School.

 

D. Campaign Category

   - Same as above, but all individual ads must be contained in each CD (for Print PSA Campaign, Radio PSA Campaign and TV PSA Campaign)

 

E. Digital Category

   -Submit an AVP, 2-3 minutes in length that documents social media efforts for an advocacy which reflects any of the 7 positive values. This AVP       must include the digital objectives of the advocacy, selected actual digital materials/posts and the ensuing results of the social media efforts.         The finished digital materials will be limited to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram that have been posted in the year 2015 to 2016.

   - Must be in mp4 format

   - Must have a video documentation of the actual entry

   - Files must be contained in two (2) CDs with only one entry per CD

   - The CD cover must be clearly identified with the Student /Group Name, Title, Category, AVP Length and School.

   - Must be accompanied by an Endorsement Letter from the delegate’s professor.

   - Entry must be accompanied by an entry form*

 

F. Branded Communications Category

   - Branded Communication Details and Creative brief will be given soon! Watch for them!

 

IMPORTANT NOTE

*JPEG, MP4 and MP3 files of entries must be SAVED and NOT BURNED on the CDs.

 

IMPROPERLY SAVED ENTRIES WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.

 

SUBMISSION OF ENTRIES

* Deadline for submission of entries is on

February 19, 2016.
